We run a comprehensive national criminal background check through Checkr — one of the most trusted background check providers in the US. This includes county courthouse records, sex offender registry, national criminal database, and SSN validation. We cover the $30 cost for every applicant.
The Texas HHSC Employee Misconduct Registry tracks individuals who have been found to have committed abuse, neglect, or exploitation in any regulated Texas care setting. A listing in the EMR prohibits a person from working in any regulated care environment. We check every applicant against this database — for free — before approval.
Every caregiver's professional license is verified against official Texas state databases — not self-reported. CNA licenses are checked via the Texas TULIP portal. RN and LPN licenses via the Texas Board of Nursing. NP licenses via the Texas Medical Board. We verify the license number, expiration date, and any disciplinary actions.
Verification doesn't end at approval. Every caregiver is rated by families after every single shift. We monitor ratings continuously. Any caregiver who drops below 4.0★ for 30 consecutive days is reviewed and may be suspended or removed. Your feedback directly protects other families.
